You can connect to iCloud through a web browser to assist in locating a misplaced iPhone and/or secure your data if you believe it may have been stolen.

Connect iCloud – Find My

1. Go to www.icloud.com/find to locate your devices in iCloud.

2. Use your iCloud account to log in.

If you want to use the Find My app, you must first register an iCloud account and an Apple ID. 

The lost or stolen device must have the Find My app active. The same iCloud account needs to be set up on each device to view every device on your iCloud.

1. View iOS devices that are online on a map.
2. Open www.icloud.com/find. 

3. After entering your password and Apple ID, click Sign In.

4. Tap All Devices at the top of the screen.

5. Choose the gadget that you want to find.

6. When the gadget is connected to the internet, its location appears on a map.

7. Under the device name, you will see the status if the device is not online.

8. To be notified when it is found, check the Notify me when found box.

Turn On The Sound To Find My iPhone

You can use the ability to play a sound on a lost iOS device to help locate it if it is both nearby and online.

1. Open www.icloud.com/find. 

2. After entering your password and Apple ID, click Sign In.

3. Select All Devices from the menu at the top.

4. Select the device that is missing by clicking on it

5. Press the Play Sound button.

6. If the lost iOS device is online and connected to the internet, a sound will play.

How Can I Find My iPhone by Using “Lost Mode”

You may use an online iOS device to lock it securely and show your phone number and a personalized message.

The device’s receiver will be able to call the contact number and view the personalized message.

1. Open www.icloud.com/find. 

2. After entering your password and Apple ID, click Sign In.

3. Select All Devices from the menu at the top.

4. Select the device that is missing by clicking on it.

5. Select “Lost Mode.” 

6. Keep the following in mind while you follow the on-screen instructions:

• Enter your passcode to unlock your iPhone if it doesn’t already have one.  You only use this passcode—which is different from your password—when you report your device missing.

• Details of Contact: Enter a phone number where you may be reached if you are prompted to enter one.  You might want to mention that the device is misplaced or provide your contact information if you are prompted to write a message.  The device’s lock screen displays the message and number.

7. Press the “Activate” button.

8. You can disable Lost Mode on your lost device by doing one of the following after you’ve located it:

• Put in your passcode here.

• Select the device and then select Pending or Activated under Mark as Lost, select Turn Off, then select Mark as Lost again.

How can I Restrict Someone From Accessing My iPhone? 

The online iOS device can be remotely deleted to stop anyone from viewing or accessing personal information (such as contacts, emails, images, and other data) in the case that it is lost or stolen.

1. Open www.icloud.com/find. 

2. After entering your password and Apple ID, click Sign In.

3. Select All Devices from the menu at the top.

4. Select the device that is missing by clicking on it.

5. Select “Erase iPhone.”

6. After reading the warning, select “Erase iPhone.”

7. Click Erase after entering the Apple ID and password.

The lost iOS device’s data is completely removed, and it cannot be recovered.

How Do I Disable Location From My iPhone?

An iOS device can be deleted from the list of devices in Find My iPhone if it is no longer in use.

1. Open www.icloud.com/find. 

2. After entering your password and Apple ID, click Sign In.

3. Select All Devices from the menu at the top.

4. To delete the device, click it.

6. Once more, click All Devices.

7. Choose the gadget that has to be taken out.

8. To confirm, click Remove from Account.

The device’s Activation Lock is disabled, all of your material is deleted, and anybody else can activate it.
