Again, when we conducted a speed test on a US server, the network offered a download speed of 25.3 mb/s, an upload speed of 16.5 mb/s and a ping rate of 67 ms. These speeds are decent if not awesome. The premium packages of this VPN allow unlimited download and bandwidth usage and currently, the network allows up to 5 simultaneous connections.

We were not very happy with the support option of Hide.Me. The company does not have any live chat facility or 24X7-support. Even though, it comes equipped with a couple of video tutorials, these online tutorials do not delve deep into the technical aspects. On the contrary, they only provide a basic idea about the VPN. There is a facility of connecting with the Hide.Me customer care team via email. However, in a few cases, emails are not replied promptly and problems are not addressed well.

Being part of a Malaysian company (eVenture Ltd), hide.Me does not have any issues with data retention. The company comes with a pretty strong Privacy Policy. According to this policy, no activity logs of the users are stored by the company. No information about the user including their name, ip address or local address is stored by the provider. The network comes in moderately affordable packages. There is a free package which comes with some limited features. Again, there is also a premium plus package which is available at $5.42 a month.
